Made in Germany US-Zone: Franka is back home 2017

Sono convinto che la luce che passa attraverso le lenti dell’obiettivo lasci una traccia, una memoria, e che le fotocamere portino con sé i volti, i paesaggi, le storie di cui sono state testimoni. Per questo, con la mia Franka Solida III (Made in Germany US-Zone, come si legge sul dorso) siamo tornati a Berlino, perché potesse rivedere i luoghi in cui è nata e rivivere i ricordi di un tempo diverso, diviso.
Pochi scatti, essenziali, preziosi, come potevano esserlo negli anni ’60 o ’70 del Secolo Scorso, quello “breve”. Un viaggio nella memoria, nella storia e nel presente. Perché la Franka (classe di ferro e vetro 1954), è viva, e continua a guardare il mondo con il suo cuore morbido, ai Sali d’argento.
I'm convinced that the light that flows through the lens leaves a trace, a memory, and that the each camera brings within itself the faces, the landscapes, the stories of which it was a witness. For this reason, with my Franka Solida III (Made in Germany US-Zone, as it is written on the camera back), we came back to Berlin, so that Franka could see again the places in which se was born and she could remember the memories of different time, a time in which the City was divided in two.
Few essential, precious shots, as they could be in the '60 or '70 of the last century, the so called "short century". A journey into the memory, into the story, a walk in the present. Because Franka (she was born in 1954), is alive and is still watching the world with her soft, "argentique", hearth.
